The culmination of all of their hard work came yesterday as they participated in MathCounts. They were tested as individuals and as a team in all things math. They were one of only 2 girl teams, and they were the only all-caucasian girl team.
We don't know their standing over all yet, but sadly they were not in the top 5. They pretty much expected that.... they work hard but math is not really their passion. After all... they do go to an art school ;) Some of the teams meet daily and it shows... very impressive. The team that won yesterday went to nationals last year.
I'm just beyond proud of them for participating.... and I'm so thrilled that Natalie finally loves math. It is finally being taught to her in a manner that is fun for her. Kudos to her math teacher Mr. Walker and her classmates Sarah, Genevieve and Janelle. Rock on art/math chicks!

Way to go, Nat and art/math chicks! Maybe you can teach me something because I try to help Jake with his math and he is not learning it the way I did in school... Whole different times....
But that is great! Good job.
